Approach

My approach brings together somatic psychotherapy, attachment-focused work, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a values-oriented approach to psychological flexibility and meaningful change.

Together, these perspectives help us listen to how experience is organized in the body and nervous system, while also attending to emotion, relationship, language, protective patterns, values, and the wider context of your life.

This work is collaborative, paced, and guided by safety, curiosity, choice, and respect for what your system is ready to explore.

You do not need to know which modality or approach you need before beginning. We can begin with what is present and discover together what kind of support feels most useful.

A body-based approach to healing and meaningful change

Rather than focusing only on insight or analysis, somatic counseling also listens to sensation, posture, breath, impulse, emotion, movement, and nervous system response.

The body often carries patterns of protection, overwhelm, shutdown, and resilience. By working with the nervous system directly, therapy can support more capacity for regulation, integration, and connection.

As more capacity becomes available, therapy can also help clarify what matters, support new choices, and create more freedom to move toward meaningful change in daily life.

Healing does not have to
mean pushing harder.

Sometimes meaningful change begins by slowing down enough to notice what is already organizing, protecting, and moving toward life.

How the work is held

Pacing and Capacity

We move at a speed your nervous system can actually work with. Therapy does not require forcing, flooding, or pushing past what feels available.

Safety, Consent, and Choice

You are invited to pause, ask questions, decline exercises, shift direction, and remain involved in choices about the work.

Nervous System Support

Sessions may include attention to activation, shutdown, protection, grounding, orienting, and the body’s pathways back toward steadiness.

Integration

The work supports insight becoming more embodied, practical, and connected to daily life, relationships, and meaningful action.

Approaches that inform the work

My work is informed by several somatic, relational, mindfulness-based, and values-oriented approaches. You do not need to know which approach you need before beginning. The work is shaped around your needs, preferences, goals, and pace.
