You may be here because something in you is ready for support.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, shut down, disconnected, or caught in patterns that are hard to change. You may understand what is happening intellectually, but still feel it in your body, emotions, relationships, or nervous system.
You may be carrying the effects of trauma, grief, chronic stress, attachment wounds, or life experiences that have shaped how you move through the world.
Counseling offers a space to slow down, listen more deeply, and begin working with what has been held inside.
Areas of Support
I offer counseling for a wide range of emotional, relational, and nervous system concerns, including:
Trauma and chronic stress
Support for experiences that continue to live in the body, emotions, relationships, and nervous system.
Anxiety and overwhelm
Help with patterns of fear, tension, racing thoughts, shutdown, or difficulty feeling settled in your body and daily life.
Grief and life transitions
A compassionate space for loss, change, uncertainty, and the process of finding your way forward with support and care.
Relationship and attachment patterns
Support for understanding how early experiences, protection strategies, and relational wounds shape connection.
Emotional regulation and capacity
Developing more capacity to notice, feel, express, and move through emotion without becoming overwhelmed, shut down, or organized around it.
Feeling more at home in yourself
Support for embodiment, self-understanding, inner steadiness, and a deeper sense of connection with your own life.
A body-based approach to healing
Somatic counseling includes attention to thoughts and emotions while also listening to the body, nervous system, sensation, movement, posture, impulse, and relational experience.
Rather than forcing change or pushing into painful material too quickly, this work supports healing through careful pacing, curiosity, safety, and increased capacity.
The body often carries what words alone cannot fully reach. By working with the nervous system directly, therapy can help create new possibilities for regulation, integration, connection, and meaningful action.
You can move toward change without pushing past yourself.
Therapy can support careful pacing, curiosity, and a more compassionate relationship with what your body and nervous system have learned to hold.
You will not be asked to force emotional release, relive trauma, or move faster than your nervous system is ready to go.
What sessions may include
Counseling sessions may include conversation, nervous system education, mindfulness, body awareness, emotional processing, and gentle somatic exploration. The work is collaborative and shaped around what feels supportive, useful, and available for you.
Somatic awareness
Noticing sensation, posture, breath, movement, impulse, emotion, and places of ease or tension.
Grounding and orienting
Using present-moment awareness, the room, the body, and supportive cues to help your system settle.
Nervous system education
Learning how patterns of activation, shutdown, protection, and regulation may be showing up.
Emotional processing
Making space for feelings at a pace that supports capacity rather than overwhelm.
Relational patterns
Exploring how attachment, boundaries, needs, protection, and connection live in the body.
Integration and meaningful action
Helping insight become more embodied, practical, values-connected, and usable in daily life.
slowly and collaboratively
You do not need to know how to do somatic therapy before beginning. We will move in a way that supports safety, curiosity, and choice.
